For a full year, they brought colour to the city during Amsterdam’s 750th birthday celebrations. You could spot them everywhere: along the canals, at events and throughout the neighbourhoods. Now that the anniversary year has ended, the flags have completed their original mission. Transformed into a unique pouch, they are ready for a new chapter. Allowing Amsterdam 750 to live on, quite literally, in your hands.

From flag to pouch

After an event, flags are often thrown away. What a waste. Amsterdam 750 thought so too. That is why we were given the opportunity to turn them into a collection of exclusive products, including this compact pouch. Thanks to the recognisable colours and graphic patterns of the flags, we were able to create pouches that are as eye-catching as the city itself. And because every flag is different, no pouch is ever the same.

This pouch is perfect for pens, pencils and small accessories. Small enough to slip easily into your bag. The inside is lined with a sand-coloured fabric made from offcuts of festival tents. Combined with the Amsterdam 750 flags on the outside, this creates a sturdy pouch that can handle daily use. A high-quality black zipper and stylish puller keep everything neatly in place, wherever you go.

Amsterdam’s birthday

Amsterdam celebrated its 750th birthday for an entire year. A jubilee filled with stories, local initiatives and major events that brought the whole city to life. The celebrations may be over, but the memories remain. A special year in which Amsterdam reflected on its history and looked ahead to what is yet to come.
