We make all UNBEGUN products by hand. And produce them locally, right here in Amsterdam. How? After the materials are machine-washed, we give them another good scrub. Then we cut them to size. Finally, our seamstresses get to work and create something totally unique.

I am most proud of the laptop sleeve. It was quite a task to get the design right and ensure it became the unique, super solid sleeve that it is. It took about five months to perfect it, and I'm extremely happy with the result.

I work from my home studio and only use a few machines. I have a leather sewing machine for stitching the fabric because it's quite sturdy, and a hand press for the snaps. The fabric is delivered pre-cut to size, which is very convenient for me, so I don't have to do the cutting myself.

I am personally a big fan of the products and the story behind them, and I use one of the first designs every day—a white shoulder bag that I use for everything. My friend just received a black laptop sleeve as a birthday gift. Care to guess who it's from?
