After the city finished celebrating, we were given the chance to give the colourful flags a second life. We transformed them into bags, pouches and a travel pouch: ready for everyday use, each with its own story. You are not just carrying a unique item — but also a tangible reminder of a special birthday.
A tribute to Amsterdam 750
As a nod to the anniversary, each product features a subtle ‘Amsterdam 750’ label. A small detail, yet a lasting reminder of a remarkable celebration.

For an entire year, the flags coloured the city during the celebration of its 750th birthday. Now, they begin a new life — transformed into unique pieces with a story that continues.

Made where their story began: Amsterdam. By keeping production local, the connection to the city and the materials remains intact. Every bag is crafted by hand — with time, care and respect for where that story started.
A collection with impact
With the Unbegun x Amsterdam 750 collection, we give something back to the city. 15% of the proceeds is donated to Stichting Samen is niet Alleen (SINA). SINA supports children in Amsterdam who grow up in poverty by giving them a safe space, access to sports or simply a moment of joy. So when you carry a piece of Amsterdam, you also contribute to it.
Curious how the products are made?
The Unbegun x Amsterdam 750 items are made locally and proudly by hand. The flags are cut to size using patterns — and washed if needed. One of Unbegun’s seamstresses is Maartje, a former theatre costume designer who has been crafting bags for over 10 years.
