Unbegun creates products from materials with a story. In the same way, we help companies upcycle their old advertising banners. These are often used only once and then thrown away. A waste, thought event agency This is Live as well. That’s why we created an exclusive collection of laptop sleeves for them.
This way, banners from festivals such as Solar and Paaspop get a second life, while we help reduce waste.
The only downside? These exclusive laptop sleeves are not for sale.
Who is This is Live?
The This is Live Group is one of the largest event organizations in the Netherlands. Each year they welcome more than 600,000 festival visitors across 80 events. Many festivalgoers know This is Live from festivals such as Paaspop, Extrema and Solar Weekend.
How it's made
All laptop sleeves for This is Live are handmade locally in Amsterdam. How do we do that? After the banners are cut to size with patterns, the parts are carefully washed. Then we put together the most beautiful combinations. Finally, our seamstresses turn them into something truly special.
Banners with potential
A lot of banner material is discarded after use. A shame, since it is often still of good quality and perfectly suitable for reuse. This is Live thought the same and went looking for a new purpose for their banners.
